I am an International Chess Master (the second highest possible chess title after Grandmaster) since 2002.
Four years in a row (2002 - 2005) I qualified to play in the US Closed Championship. During years 2000-2006 I regularly was among the top finishers of the annual USCF Grand Prix contest. In 2004, I finished 8th in the USA.
Since 1999, I have won over 60 Grand Prix tournaments, including four Pennsylvania state championships (while working on my Ph.D. at Penn State). I have beaten many of the strongest players in the USA, including Hikaru Nakamura, Alex Stripunsky, Alex Ivanov, and quite a few other GMs.
